I did my 2 page art spread on Fairfield Porter. Fairfield captured my attention, because I loved the way he drew nature. For example the dog in "Island Farmhouse" and the the pine tress in "Big House with Hawkseed." The way he was able to paint such simple shapes, but make them intricate really blew my mind. He added detail to parts of the painting, where you wouldn't think would be there originally, but it makes all the difference. He inspires me not to be so detailed while drawing, but to focus on the unique parts of nature. I'm hoping that someday I can just give me drawing a certain peace and meaning when you look at them. Last of all, I believe that the most simplest things in life can bring the most detail.

We are Family
This is a picture of my family, because we grew up together while playing soccer. We trusted each other and we knew each other so well. I think family means people who you can trust and they trust you back You start to created a bond that gets stronger and stronger, and memories are made that you will never forget.
I include my dog as my family, because even though he can't speak he always seems to be there. Animals especially pets, always find a way to put a smile on your face even when you just feel down. He becomes your family, because you want him to be happy and healthy and he will somehow manage bring joy in your life.

Creation
This painting is called "Creation", because it reminds me a lot of Michelangelo's painting "The Creation of Adam." The rough, spiked and small shell represents Adam (us), because we are imperfect and sinful, therefore we have our rough edges. The bigger and smoother shell represents God, because he is perfect and powerful, therefore he doesn't have any rough edges. The 2 shells are almost touching is inspired by Michelangelo's painting, because in his painting Adam's hand and God's hand are almost touching which shows how God breathes life in Adam.
Leftovers
This is a picture of leftover planes trails. I just like this picture because it gives you a sense that life goes on, because planes keep flying forward.
This is a flower in a desert path near my house. I really like this picture, because you can see that the path was filled was with plants, but now there is barely any vegetation except for flowers like the one the picture.

Landscapes
This is a place near my neighborhood, and I used to take my sister's dog to let him run around. There is a huge hill and he would always run up and down it, but when he got tired he would go to the top and just look around. I love this picture, because it shows how connect he was with the nature. I also love the shadows.
This was taken in Kansas, I was in back to my sister's apartment and I just like how the bottom is blurry to show departure and the colors, which were in some sort of ombre.
This was taken at the Bay at Havre De Grace. I like this photo, because you can see the dark clouds coming in from West. It's almost like Yin Yang, so that's why I like it so much.
This another picture that was taken in Kansas and I really like this because it's dark and eerie. I think the trees in the background give it a more scary look.
