Merging to the darkness
My goal in this self portrait was creating a subtle and calm look. I accomplished that by putting extra attention on the eye. My painting is about interesting mark making. The most difficult challenge I had to create was the fern plant. I meet that challenge by putting just the right amount of whiteness on the plant's shadows. My painting really works at the eye. Some things that I learned that I can bring into my next painting is size view placement. The mentor that helped me was Edward Hopper. He helped me realize the importance of light in certain places. Stephanie's drawing was really cool, because of the different pose that she did and she did a really good job on her lips. If I had a do over I would do the shape of my face a little better. What I feel best about my work is the marks that I did and the eye.

White Pumpkins
I didn't really enjoy doing this project, but I did like how cool it turned out even if I didn't finish. At first when you're doing it doesn't look like a pumpkin at all, but when you look at it the next day it does look like it. I did like the whole idea of creating the shadows and light, even if it was difficult. I think my favorite part of this drawing was the pumpkin on the left, because I love the variety of lights and shadow in it. So at the end, doing the project itself was hard, but the result was actually really cool...

Where I spend my time
This is were I like to spend my time, it's just behind my house and it's surrounded by nature. I always take pictures here and it's a great place just to wonder around and relax. I'm always fascinated by the colors of the different seasons and the new things that I discover.
This is another of my favorite places to, which in Old Town Havre De Grace. Every time I come here, I just sit and stare at the water. The water and the sky that surrounds it just has a calmness to it that I enjoy so much.
Obssesions
This was taken at the place where my sister got married, in Skelly Lodge. I was obsessed with this place, because it was so connected to nature and the view was gorgeous. It was a place that I will never forget.
This was taken at my sister's rehearsal dinner and the sunset was one that I've never seen before. I love sunsets, because there are so many distinct colors in one sunset. It's a beauty that I will never get tired of looking at them.
